Following the renovation of equipment in the Gualtar and Azurém campi, new furniture, interactive displays and white boards have been installed in multiple spaces, originating the new Active Learning Classrooms — flexible teaching spaces that promote methodologies centered around the student and learning by discovery, with mobile desks that facilitate the reorganization of the space, white boards along the walls for registering and sharing ideas, and interactive displays that allow the simultaneous presentation of multiple contents, reinforcing UMinho's commitment with more dinamic, collaborative and innovative learning environments.
Currently we have room 1.15 (Gualtar, building 2) available for this effect. It contains 7 white boards, a videoconference system, an interactive display, and double desks to permit the formation of up to 6 work groups (with each one having its dedicated white board).
