Tests and assignments play a very important role in the evaluation process. It is know that many of the mistakes made by students are due to misreading and misunderstanding of the content. On the other hand, a lot of problems would be avoided with a more careful test design. It is important to promote best practices to foster content legibility e accessibility, with simple operations in common word processing applications.
These initiatives oblige the Decreet-Law n.º 54/2018, 6 July (altered and republished by Law n.º 116/2019, 13 September), regarding the promotion of teaching supporting documents’ accessibility that warrants equal access to every student, regardless of their specific needs.
A group of UMinho lecturers discussed and shared ideas and best practices to improve evaluation supporting documents, resulting in five films of about 3 to 5 minutes each, with helpful tips, in an initiative named tests+.
