Concept keyboard

Intended for people with motor disabilities this keyboard allows the use with several schemes according to the user's needs. It is possible to create custom schemes via specific software.

Tracker Pro

Intended for people with motor disabilities, this device allows the user to control the mouse through the movement of the head or other parts of the body.

Pageturner

Intended for people with reduced mobility, this device assists in the forward and backward turn of book pages.

Impressora de relevos

Reproduces black images for high relief. It allows a blind person to have contact with graphics, charts and figures.

Pacamete

Portable device intended for people with vision disabilities. It has a PDA-like operating system, allowing reading, writing, internet access, note taking, email, amongst others. Application access is done through a screen reader software that turns texts and menus into voice.

Computador com leitor de ecrã e terminal Braille

This device is intended for people with vision disabilities. It allows voice and Braille reading of the information displayed onscreen.

Portable magnifier

Portable character magnifier up to 6X, with color and contrast adjustment.Intended for people with low vision, it allows reading, writing. This small device runs on batteries for several hours.

This equipament may be used in the classroom, or in the NIPDSE's facilities.

Desktop portable magnifier

Portable character magnifier up to 32X, with color and contrast adjustment. Intended for people with low vision, it allows reading, writing and distance viewing (eg. classroom board). Additional functions, such as, saving images, are available, when used with a laptop.

This equipament may be used in the classroom, or in the NIPDSE's facilities.

Articulated arm

It allows the assembly of several control devices, such as, handles that control the computer or the Pageturner.

Braille printer

Prints Braille texts, from black text and high relief images from black figures.

Braille typewriter

Typewriter for manual writing of Braille characters. It writes on 160g (5.6 oz) paper, printing small sequences of dots, called Braille.

Ampliador de secretária com monitor

Equipamento de ampliação de caracteres até 32X, com a possibilidade de alteração das cores e contrastes. Destina-se a pessoas com baixa visão, permitindo a leitura/escrita e a visualização de imagens ou esquemas.

Estes equipamentos podem ser utilizados nas Bibliotecas de Gualtar e Azurém, em sala de aula ou nas instalações do NIPDSE.
